What is DKIM?
DKIM is a method of providing e-mails with a digital signature, allowing the sender to ensure the authenticity of the message. This allows the recipient to determine with certainty that the content and attachments have not been altered during transmission.
While DKIM is not anti-spam technology, it does help verify the authenticity of emails.
What is SPF?
Unfortunately, it is easy to send emails on behalf of another email address. This is because, by default, the e-mail protocol does not check the sender rights of a domain. To prevent this, you can set up SPF records. These records determine which mail servers are authorized to send emails on behalf of your domain name, significantly reducing the chance of abuse.
What is DMARC?
E-mail has been around for more than half a century and has been the primary means of communication between organizations since the last decade. However, standard e-mail security falls short. To better secure e-mail traffic, several validation systems have been developed. For example, Google, Microsoft, Yahoo and PayPal have introduced the DMARC specification as a security protocol for e-mail. DMARC builds on the existing authentication methods SPF and DKIM and helps protect your domain from phishing and spoofing attacks. By implementing DMARC, you gain visibility into who is sending emails on behalf of your domain and can actively counter abuse.

When implementing DMARC, we follow a step-by-step approach with the following policy levels:
